1 Gallon apple cider or apple juice.

1 cup packed brown sugar
12 inches stick cinnamon
2 teaspoons whole allspice
2 teaspoons whole cloves

1. In a saucepan combine cider and brown sugar. Place cinnamon, allspice and cloves in a spice ball or cheesecloth. Add spice mixture to cider.

2. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Remove spice packet.

Serves 16. Garnish with cinnamon sticks if desired.
