I’ve always found it interesting that the day after the children return to school, the air changes ever so slightly. The humidity seems to subside, the air smells of the approaching change of season and the world slows down just a bit. Truthfully our favorite time of year in Kennebunkport Maine is right now. Fall is on it’s way, the sea breeze is crisp and refreshing, the leaves will soon begin to change to their beautiful fiery reds, yellows and oranges and all the while we reflect on an amazing summer and welcome refreshing change.
One of our favorite things to do in the early mornings is just grab a coffee and walk the peaceful streets of Dock Square. Just a few steps form the Inn it’s a lovely stroll through a quintessential Coastal Maine town. As the air begins to change this time of the year you’ll realize just how much you’ve missed hot coffee over iced. As the crowds thin Kennebunkport becomes even more serene and is just an absolute delight for the senses.
As your day winds down why not an amazing meal on the water as the sun sets. Kennebunkport is dripping with mouth watering options that you won’t forget. Spend your evening relaxing by the water and taking in the timeless harbor views then just a short stroll back to the Inn for the sleep of a lifetime. We hope you have the opportunity to visit in the next few weeks and experience Kennebunkport in the Fall for yourself.
If you’re wondering what a great time would be to take this all in then check your schedule and join us for Harvest Fest Oct. 8 in downtown Kennebunk, with parade, vendors, food and more.
