Breakfast is indeed a special time at The Captain Jefferds Inn. Our full served breakfast is entirely homemade and prepared fresh daily in our kitchens. The presentation is distinctive with plates garnished with fresh flowers and enhanced by the candlelit dining room and warm fireplace in the cooler months. Our breakfasts may include peach shortcake, fresh berry muffins, Maine blueberry stuffed French toast with blueberry sauce, fresh in season vegetable strata and many more delicious recipes.

Each afternoon guests are treated to a wonderful assortment of refreshments, served in our garden room. A selection of specialty teas by the Portsmouth Tea Company are offered along with home baked cookies, cheese and spreads, fresh squeezed lemonade and ice tea in the summer months and hot mulled cider in the winter. Tea time is available from mid-afternoon through the evening and is the perfect time to browse through local restaurant menus, gather brochures and information about the town, or chat with other guests.
